Shipping & Returns


Most items on our website are in stock or have a very short lead time.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 2-3 business days subject to cleared payment, however at peak times (e.g. Back to School period) this may extend to 5 business days. We post orders out during our working hours of 8am-5pm Monday - Friday.

Home Delivery

Once your order is complete, we will ship it via one of our two nominated delivery services, either Royal Mail or DPD. Which one will depend on your delivery address and size of the order.

If sent by Royal Mail, the postman will attempt to make one delivery of a large item. If you are not at home at the time, the parcel will be taken back to your local Royal Mail sorting office, and you will be able to collect it from there. Please ensure that you take proof of ID.

For smaller flat orders, where possible the parcel will be dropped through your door letterbox.

If sent by DPD, they will attempt delivery of your order twice. If you are not at home on the first occasion, they will leave you a calling card inviting you to arrange redelivery at a convenient time providing you contact them that day. If you don not contact them that day, they will usually reattempt delivery the following day.

When ordering, if you add one of our Name tape sets to your basket you will get FREE home delivery of your order. Alternatively, it is £4.60 regardless of size of the shipment.

Clothes for Charity events are shipped for FREE.

Click and Collect service

Our FREE ‘Collect from Store’ service is available for all items. You will receive a first email acknowledging your order followed by a second email notifying you that the order is ready for collection. Please have your order number to hand when coming to pick-up your order.

Collect from School

Some schools operate a Collect from School option, and in this instance you may want your order to be delivered to school which is free of charge. Delivery is usually made twice in a term, please check the delivery schedule for your school here.

If you had originally selected the Collect from School option but have changed your mind and would like to collect your order from our store instead, please let us know by sending an email with your order reference number to or by calling us on 01793 490852.


In the unlikely event that the item you order is not in stock or on a short lead time, it may be necessary to despatch your order in instalments. Please note, in these circumstances we will only charge you for one delivery.

Returns & exchanges

We handle every order with great care, and always quality check the items we ship to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase from Dress My School.

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, we ask that you return your item or items* within 30 days of purchase in perfect condition and in the original packaging where possible. We will be happy to give you a full refund or to offer an exchange for a different size or another product from our range. To arrange a return, please contact us as soon as possible by emailing, or call us on 01793 490852 between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Our friendly customer service team will be happy to assist.

*Unfortunately, we cannot process refunds for personalised goods (embroidered or printed with your initials or name) unless a mistake has been made on our part. Please contact us with your order number if this is the case and we will do our utmost to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
